What happened?

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed round

I can’t help but wonder what has become of the US postal service. From carriers who, instead of walking up to the porch with your package and ringing the bell to obtain a signature, pop a notice sheet in your box saying you need to go to the past office to pick it up, to those too skittish to deliver mail from the window of their vehicle into your mailbox because they’re afraid to get stuck in the snow. What happened? When did they become these mewling panty waists?

And they wonder why they’re deemed uncompetitive. Never once has FedEx, UPS, DHL, or Purolator, refused to deliver. Never once have they simply slapped a tag into my mailbox rather than performing the due diligence required of their jobs.

Maybe it was just a run of lousy employees the last several years, as I see the delivery person today is not the same as the last several months (who was not the same as the one from the past several years), but I doubt it.

Ah, well.
