Um, to shoot back?

Why does anyone in this city need to have a gun at all?” —Toronto Mayor John Tory

So Mayor Tory – mayor in a city within one of the left’s darlings; one of their “evolved” countries which have abolished its citizenry’s right to bear arms – has experienced yet another failure of their ability to keep guns off the streets, and laments why anyone in the city needs a gun.

Well, Johnny boy! I can give you 15 reasons. The two killed and the 13 injured in this recent failure of your policies. How about the 14 reasons in Quebec City? The 11 reasons in Laroche? (That was a school shooting, too – haven’t we been told time and again by the MSN that those only happen in the US?) How about the eight reasons in Edmonton? Or the five reasons in Moncton? Or the three reasons in Claresholm? Or the eight in Shedden, or the 20 at Dawson College, or the four in Mayerthorpe, or the four in Grimsby, or…. Well, you get the drift. There are plenty of reasons to be able to defend oneself. And there are countless firearms remaining in your fair city. You simply cannot acknowledge their existence as it is wholly contrary to your world view.

You see, John-boy, only law-abiding citizens abide by the law. Hence the term. Criminals, on the other hand, do NOT abide by the law. Again: hence the term. Now, take an asinine law designed to take the guns away from criminals by taking them away from everyone, and… I’m sure most see what’s coming next. Maybe not you, so much, but most understand that you’ve simply eliminated the law-abiding citizen’s ability to defend themselves from those who DON’T abide by the law and are still armed. With guns. Guns you’ve made illegal. All that you and your ilk have managed to do is violate the basic human right to self defense for those who you allegedly serve. And that right, Juan, is the reason why somebody in your city would need a gun. The right to defend their own life. Because when seconds count, the RCMP and OPP are only minutes away. And, as evidenced by Parkland earlier this year, the police may be no help when they arrive…

“Question for President Trump as he meets Putin: Do you know which team you play for?” —Hillary Clinton

Why, Hillary: he’s playing for OUR team. And we’re very, very clear whose team he’s playing for. We’re also very, very clear who is NOT playing on our team. We’re very clear who is playing as a “free agent” interested only in fulfilling their avaricious greed and lust for power. We’re keenly aware of those who play far outside of the laws set for our team, but, somehow, escape retribution – or even scrutiny!

Yes, Hillary. Thanks for the reminder.

Of All The Hypocrites, Elected Democrats Take The Cake

12 July 2018

“President Trump should not meet with President Putin alone. … The president needs to remember that, as Commander-in-Chief, his duty is to protect the American people from foreign threats, not to sell out our democracy to Putin.” —(alleged) Senator Chuck Schumer

Really? REALLY? You’ll go there, you jackass?! Have you forgotten this, Chuckie?

“This is my last election … After my election I have more flexibility,” Obama to Medvedev, March 2012

So, Chuckster, just who shouldn’t have been left alone when meeting with the Russians? Hmmm? It certainly isn’t Trump…

DNC: What Exactly DO You Stand For?

6 July 2018

After the U.S. Department of Labor released the latest jobs and unemployment numbers, DNC Chair and former Labor Secretary Tom Perez made the following statement:

“With slow wage growth, rising health care premiums, and skyrocketing gas prices across the country, Donald Trump’s reckless policies are hurting millions of hardworking families. Trump and Republicans in Congress have been so determined to undermine workers that they held a Supreme Court seat hostage for nearly a year in order to nominate an aggressively anti-union justice, who became the deciding vote in last week’s disgraceful decision in the Janus case.

“This is all part of the Republican playbook. For decades, Republicans and their wealthy corporate allies have been chipping away at workers’ rights, weakening unions, and depressing wages – all while giving massive tax cuts to the top 1%. And Janus is their most dangerous attack yet.

“Trump and Republicans in Congress are trying to build a winner-take-all economy that enriches their wealthy friends and saddles working families with the bill. Democrats want to create good-paying jobs and build an economy that works for everyone. And we will continue to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with workers and with our brothers and sisters in the labor movement as they fight for the wages, benefits, and livelihood they deserve.”

So… Faster wage growth, but fewer employed is what they want? And Unions, of course. They LOVE Unions – but, wait: don’t Unions hinder faster wage growth by requiring the same for all?

And what, exactly, are “workers’ rights”? Don’t “workers” enjoy the same rights that every other citizen in the US enjoy?

And gas prices…

When Øbama was in office, their rallying cry was the government had no impact on fuel prices; that it was all controlled by OPEC. Now they appear to believe the government DOES have an impact. Huh. I can understand that, though. Oddly, I saw gas prices go up when Øbama did things like… Oh, I don’t know… preclude any new drilling on US soil or waters, decline to allow the Kesytone XL pipeline to go through, etc.; and I saw them go down when Trump announced an end to Øbama’s war on energy, when he negotiated with certain of the OPEC nations, etc. So I guess they finally figured out that the government DOES have an impact on fuel prices. Great! Learning!

And just who are these downtrodden “workers” who have fewer rights than those who aren’t “workers”? Wait! I know! The “workers” are those who actually have jobs and earn a living, but don’t have the right to the entirety of their wages! But who is oppressing these “workers”? Who are the evil bastards stealing their hard-earned pay? Ah! It’s the government. But how does the government oppress these “workers”? Why, by giving their money away to those who DON’T work while withholding the benefits they freely give away to those who aren’t “workers” from those who earn the benefits for them. By spending the “workers” hard-earned money on ridiculous “scientific studies” which ultimately only benefit those performing the studies. Or paying other countries to hate us (my favorite!). All things the DNC also likes.

And how come all of these DNC politicians always bemoan the millionaires? I mean: they’re ALL millionaires. Why do they hate themselves so?

I guess I have to say it: either the DNC is a front for socialists who cannot STAND to have the people of the US succeed, or I smell bullshit.

Wait! It’s both.

Supreme Hypocrisy On Display

3 July 2018

“…action on any Supreme Court nominee should wait until after the American people vote in November…” – many (D) politicians

Why? Didn’t the American People speak loudly enough for you in 2016? And how come the (D)s are suddenly taking this position when, just a couple of years ago, they were railing against the blocking of an Øbama appointee just prior to the PRESIDENTIAL election?! Odd.

While the delay of such appointments prior to a presidential election may have been standard practice for some time: I’m sorry, (D)s: there is no such practice, tradition, or precedence around midterm elections. The appointment is Trump’s to make. But no worries: when you are routed in the midterm elections, you can continue to obstruct Trump from executing all of his Constitutional privileges and duties – including the appointment of federal judges – just as you have been since the day he took office. It is simply my hope that there will be far fewer of you in office at that time…
