Piers Morgan: Get the @$%& Out

24 January 2013

OK. I can’t stand it anymore. I’m back. Some of you knew it would come to this, and that I couldn’t keep my big mouth shut long.

I have a question.

Where does Piers Morgan – or, better: Piers Stefan O’Meara – get off? Really. The dolt hasn’t seen fit to become a citizen, yet believes he’s entitled to a voice in the US? This parasite suckles from the teet of our economy, and spews leftist garbage better than Øbama himself. What right does this bastard have trying to set policy or opinion in the US? Like Bono of U2:  absolutely none. I really don’t understand his employment by CNN, either – it’s not like there is any shortage of left-spewing socialistic personages here in the States. (Well, OK. Maybe there is a shortage of left-spewing socialistic personages who’d actually rather “work” for a living than live on the dole or the government payroll. But I repeat myself…)

I just finished viewing one of Morgan’s gun control rants in which he so daintily dismisses the gun problem in Mexico – a country with absolute gun control laws – as “a special case”. No, dipshit. It is clearly not a special case. Mexico, like every other patch of dry land in the world, as well as several oceans,  has these things called “criminals”. Criminals are, notably, people who are known for not  following the law – and most of these are not very particular about which laws they break. That the criminals in Mexico, by and large, also ignore drug trafficking laws is not a special case, but further demonstration of the point. Too, consider this: would Mexico’s drug cartels be so hugely powerful if the law-abiding Mexicans had the means to push them back? Alas, though related to the discussion here, that is another subject.

Let us talk a wee bit about “gun violence” in your beloved Britain, shall we? Can we agree that  like Mexico, Britain also has absolute gun control laws? Can we also agree that, unlike Mexico, in your glowing example – Britain –  there is no “special cause” such as a massive drug trafficking-based economy?  Without this “special cause”, there were still 7,006 firearm related offenses in just England and Wales, according to The Home Office, during 2010/11. So clearly, Piers, guns control laws work, right? Clearly not. You see only 7,006 reported offenses, and crow. I see 7,006 bits of discovered, exposed proof that your premise is fundamentally flawed. I see 7,006 demonstrations that criminals, by definition,  don’t give a rats bahookie about gun control laws. And, as a statistician,  I see far, far more than 7,006 since there are always large numbers of crimes that  go unreported, and an even larger number that go undetected.

And the problem with “gun violence”, as you like to call it, isn’t the law-abiding gun owners. These are the people stripped of their right to meet force with equal force by misguided “gun free” laws – even that bastard at Fort Hood was safe in the knowledge that solders are not allowed to carry on base. I posit that the vast majority of the incidents bemoaned by the gun control zealots – particularly those in which the shooter survived and was arrested – likely wouldn’t have happened at all if those perpetrating them had an inkling that they’d be met with equal force. Think about it, genius: the huge majority of these incidents occurred in places were law-abiding folks are not allowed to be armed. It shouldn’t take a rocket scientist to see the connection.

Piers, if you’re so enamored with your British home and their gun control, why don’t you just return there?! Doing so, you have no worries regarding the second amendment –  what it was intended for, and your perceived problems with it – and, in my opinion, you’ll make the US a better place.

I’ll have a lot more flexibility after the election…

22 October 2012

As we draw up to the 2012 presidential election, that famous “hot mic” gaffe of Øbama – the one that exposed him for the traitor he is – comes to mind. What, precisely, is it that Øbama felt he’d need more flexibility to do with a country that, until very recently was (and quite possibly still is) our sworn enemy? What is it Øbama wishes to do for Russia when he no longer has to worry about voter backlash?

I’ll have a lot more flexibility after the election…

And who else is the Appeaser In Chief looking to exercise this new flexibility with? I have a few ideas. How about Iran and Al Qaeda? After all, “The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.” And what’s the best way to make sure the future doesn’t belong to someone, I ask? I think it is via the same means his friends in Al Qaeda are so adept at employing. Imagine all the slanderers of the prophet they could ensure won’t own the future if Ahmadinejad is successful in achieving his nuclear goal? And the delivery vehicle Uncle Joe ensures us they don’t have? Proven a fool, again, Joe. A suitcase and a willing suicide bomber is all they need – and they seem to have no shortage of either

I’ll have a lot more flexibility after the election…

Chilling to think about, isn’t it? Perhaps he’ll have more flexibility to remove our ability to defend ourselves if he doesn’t  face any reprisals? How about more flexibility to prosecute that raging battle between him and Christianity? You know: the one regarding his signature legislation obviating the 1st Amendment rights of religious organizations and the conscience rights of religious health care providers? More flexibility to cram more socialist laws down our throats without any threat to his re-election chances?

“I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir.”

Freedom of Expression, Freedom of Religion, and the “religion of peace”

17 September 2012

You’ll accept our peace if we have to beat it into you!

I know I’ve been silent for months. My self-imposed hiatus had more to do with my absolute disgust with the political and economic situations in the US and my absolute disdain for the players – I simply couldn’t give voice to what I was feeling: our media – our traitorous media, as a whole, needs to be purged. The Democratic party – the traitorous democratic party needs to seek its roots (not the ones in Soviet Russia; the other ones). But an article I read this morning – a simple report – needs comment.  Why? Because I don’t get it. Really, I don’t. Every day I see disgraceful affronts to the Christian faith. There are letters of protest, email petitions, and speeches from the pulpit from the Christians. Yes, the Christians get angry, but no one is harmed, no one dies. More importantly, those responsible are left to create their perversions against the Christians unabated. For the most part, their protests are ignored or mocked by the media and society as a whole. They’re a buncha holy rollers – hahhaha! Lookit the Bible thumpers – snort!

Why is this suddenly bothering me now? We’ve known this disparity, both in religious demeanor and in society’s response, for a long time. Why now? Well, someone created a film which painted the founder of “the religion of peace” in a, shall we say, less than favorable light. The response is as it always is with these “peaceful” practitioners of islam. All hell breaks loose. US embassies in muslim countries are sacked outright – attacks on US soil – and US citizens are murdered by the proponents of this “religion of peace”.

The US response? Apologies all around, and the purported creator of the film is arrested to determine if publishing of his film somehow broke the law. Some contrived issue with probation for some previous conviction that would have made publication of this film a crime – not the content, mind you, but that the responsible individual would have used electronic means to publish it. My, my, my – how hokey do they get? And how absolutely stupid do they take us for?! Had this been a you-tube of this person breaking their neck doing parkour stunts, or bashing Christians, or some other practice viewed as so pedestrian by our government and our society, do you think there would have been a second look? Do you think a posse of sheriffs would have been sent out to bring him in for some contrived violation of parole? Not likely: it was the content that has driven his insurrection; not some trumped up violation of conditions of parole.

And am I the only one that sees the hypocrisy? The glaring double standard? Where is the alleged artist who created “Piss Christ”? Was s/he dragged in to languish in a cell somewhere while they trumped up charges to demonstrate that the making of his/her “art” was somehow illegal? Did Øbama or his administration offer any apologies to the mass of offended Christians? No, of course not. No need to pander to the Christians – particularly when you’ve duped the majority of them into believing that taking ones wealth at the point of a gun and giving it to someone else (who may be a slothful generational thief) is a manifestation of Jesus’ call to charitable giving. No need to pander to Christians because they do not believe in demonstrating their angst over your actions using your still-warm corpse.

Washinton DC: Any interpretation of “making no law respecting the establishment of religion” and “equality of each citizen under the law” makes what you’ve done in this case shameful, illegal, and entirely too telling of your motivation.

The Constitution Is Dead

28 June 2012

Mourning the Constitution, and damning the supreme cowards…

Well, that’s it, then. The supreme court has sold out the constitution and with it: all of us. Welcome to the USSA. Cancel the election. Emperor Øbama does, in fact, have new clothes.

Instead of assessing Øbamacare against the constitution on its own merits as written, the supreme cowards made the administration’s arguments for them – though again and again, the administration asserted that the individual mandate was not  a tax. In fact, I fail to see how mandating an individual citizen to buy a product can be construed as anything but a tax in the first place!

This goes against everything the founding fathers stood for. And for all you 99%ers out there high-fiving and clapping each other on the back: you will regret this – just as the Canadian and British citizens have come to regret their version of the same Marxist premise.

Atlas has indeed shrugged today. And the rule of law is dead.

Too much

22 June 2012

Pelosi’s Bonnie to Holder’s Clyde…

Nan again. Unbelievably, inexplicably, San Fran Nan has come out to say that the Republicans in Congress are after Holder to get him out of play. By what motivation would they be doing this, you ask? Well, in her twisted version of reality, the Republicans believe that, by eliminating Holder, there will be no opposition to their evil, sordid plans to get dead people and illegal aliens off the voting roles!

Those absolute bastards!

Again, in Nan’s world, it’s perfectly fine for the DNC to require photo ID in order to attend their convention – after all: you don’t want any of those sneaky conservatives slipping in! You even have to show photo ID to attend a Moochelle Øbama book signing. But to ensure that a person at the polls is legally qualified to cast a vote? My God, man! What are you suggesting?! Those evil REPUBLICANS are marginalizing minorities! (Well, at least we hope that illegal voters are in the minority…). Those evil,  uniform-wearing, baton-swinging REPUBLICANS at the polls… keeping minorities aw… Wait a minute. Those weren’t REPUBLICANS. And they weren’t turning away minorities  under threat of violence! They were “Holder’s people” – the New Black Panthers! And they were turning away CRACKERS and WHITE DEVILS under threat of violence; clearly not minorities. Huh. How could Nan have gotten that so backwards?

Nan, Nan, Nan…

And it wasn’t the Republicans who implemented the botched Fast & Furious scheme to justify another foray into gun control – a scheme that was implicated in the confirmed deaths of at least one Border Patrol Officer, at least one Customs Enforcement Agent, and in the deaths of countless numbers of Mexican citizens; no: it was Holder’s DOJ that implemented this scheme. Notably, Holder is clearly not a Republican.

Now, with Øbama’s Nixonesque implementation of Executive Privilege, it is clear that he, himself – The Øne – had a hand in the scheme – the criminal scheme – to create justification for the claim that the firearms being used by the Mexican cartels were being sourced in the US. And, notably, Øbama is the absolute antithesis of a Republican.

Personally, I wouldn’t be a bit surprised to find Hillary Clinton involved in this scheme up to her droopy eyeballs, either. Lord knows she parroted that “the majority of the guns come from the US” myth at every opportunity. And the Lord knows equally that she’s not good at taking direction – particularly from her  inferiors. Inferiors such as Øbama… And, too, she is not a Republican.

(By the way, Calderón, I don’t believe for a minute that the Mexican Government was not complicit in Fast & Furious. It’s “covert” goal of justifying ever greater infringement of OUR – not YOUR – 2nd amendment rights is too clean of a match for your stated intentions to have been so conveniently coincidental…)

Huh! So where in the frenetic whirlwind that must serve as your mental processes does this come from, Nan? Is it based on the expectation that the majority of the American (legal) voting public has reached that mainstream media-induced state of inattentiveness, apathy, and idiocy that they can’t see through your fantastic talking points? Or is it your belief that you’ve pushed the fabric of our society far enough to the left that it doesn’t really matter; that there is now a majority of (legal) voters so dependent on the government that you can’t lose anyway?

And what of the people of San Francisco? I know that Cah-lee-fone-nya is pretty much existing in a fictional reality all of their own; more aligned with some strange (and, notably: failing) socialist utopia than with these United States – but aren’t they embarrassed to be represented by the likes of you? Don’t even socialist utopias have some minimal standards for intelligence, credibility, and integrity? I know I’m constantly embarrassed by the walking DNC talking points that represent my area – and am equally concerned that any sentient being would actually vote for them – but the majority of the folk in my nearest, largest population centers aren’t really sentient. Typically, they’re drugged-out, uneducated, unemployed,  multigenerational welfare recipients, so I guess I’m not that surprised that these lunatics keep getting voted in. Pure Michigan, that…

In any case, Nan, thanks for playing. Unfortunately, your entry has failed to gain you the prize…

On another note, we didn’t miss the vote that will jack up our energy costs – you know: the one you enviro-nazis had around coal-fired generation plants? You “Republicans” who defected on it and all you good Democrats: we know where you stand. When this hidden tax starts hitting us in the pocket books – and it will hit them hard – we’ll be sure to remember you all and, hopefully, change where you stand to the unemployment line.

Beliefs

20 June 2012

…and your little Rule of Law, too!

“I think we are ironclad on the constitutionality of [ObamaCare]. We believe in the Constitution. We believe in judicial review. … But I think it’s also important for the public to know that obstruction is the agenda of the Republican party. If they win, that will be their agenda. They don’t believe in a government role, clean air, clean water. You name it.” –House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA)

I’m with you, Nan! For instance, like your belief in the Constitution, I believe there is a thing called the Q’ran. And, like with you and the Constitution, I have no intent of implementing or defending anything in the Q’ran.

Of course, the major discrepency here is that never took an oath to support and defend the Q’ran. You, on the other hand, took an oath to support and defend the constitution- an oath that clearly had no meaning to you.

I think you can shut up, now.

Disappointment

19 June 2012

Your species has been identified.

Arizona Sen. John McCain, the Republican who co-sponsored the McCain-Feingold law, voted to confirm Roberts as chief justice. McCain now has regrets. “I am more disappointed in him than any of the other four that voted to overturn McCain-Feingold,” McCain says.

And, Senator McCain, the entirety of conservatives is pretty much disgusted, let alone disappointed, with you. If you put your mind to the principle behind why Citizens United makes sense – and why liberals hate it so much, maybe your disappointment  will be abated. Mine, unfortunately, is reinforced every time you are quoted in the liberal media as their golden haired (ok: white haired) boy in the “conservative” GOP.

Corporations, such as manufacturing concerns, merchant concerns, financial concerns,  service concerns, and, of course, Unions are collections of US citizens, each taxed by the US government, each entitled to free speech. That they (the aforementioned associations) are based in the US and  taxed on their revenues –  primarily their income – makes them an entity within the US, recognized by the US, as subject to the US laws. Including laws and bureaucratic regulations assigning taxes, fees, and fines against their income, or otherwise restricting their ability to operate in what is supposed to be a free market. Giving corporations no means to communicate their pleasure or displeasure with these laws, aside from affiliated individuals squeaking in the wilderness and casting pennies at the cause would be to enslave them ( the corporations, associations, etc.) to the state – a mild case of fascism. (For those of the “99%”, fascism, in basic terms, is where the government dictates all facets of business for all subject to their rule, but let individuals still “own” the business – hardly the definition you espouse. What this allows government to do is pick the winners and the losers – as Øbama is so fond of doing – but lets the government blame the losers for the the failure of the government’s policies. Which, notably, Øbama is also found of doing. There. Hope that helps.)

Remember what we fought the Revolutionary War over? (For the 99%: The Revolutionary War in the US back in the 1175-1783. That one.) The trigger was taxation without representation. Go look it up. Citizens United ended just such a situation. Adherence to former legal precedence, the complaint from McCain, Specter, Whitehouse et al. would be laughable, if they weren’t supposed to be running this country, as cited precedents violate the 1st Amendment. Roberts’ court, by rolling back issues associated with the Citizens United case was affirming the constitution – notably: their job. Affirming the constitution is not judicial activism. It’s what they’re supposed to be doing.

Why do liberals hate this so much? First, they are always keen to chill free speech – particularly political speech, and particularly from those who do not espouse their ideology. Second, it backfired on them, allowing “angry” money to flow into the coffers of their opponents, actually making it far easier for them to be defeated. And you’ll note that when they complain, when they cite organizations that should not be allowed free speech or to donate to a politician, you do not find organizations they “like”. You do not find unions listed as corporations – though they are all incorporated, and have (ok: had) more wealth than corporations they’ve been sucking the life-blood out of. You do not find Planned Parenthood, a huge profit-generating “women’s heath” concern (read: abortion mill). You do not find the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence or similar. But you certainly do find organizations such as large “evil” corporations. You do see such organizations  as the NRA. Convenient definitions of “corporate America” made to order to the desires of the liberal left who are so aghast at Citizens United.

The only question I have remaining around this is why anything coming from McCain would be considered relevant?

-Pateratic

22 June 2012 update: More evidence that McCain is not even tangentially familiar with conservative principles and should retire before his senility brings him on par with Reid:

Senators. John McCain (R-AZ) and Harry Reid (D-NV) plan to introduce legislation to create a United States Boxing Commission that would oversee all fights and work with the various local and regional commissions, promoters, boxers and managers.

Really? REALLY?! THIS is what you think we want your sorry kiesters in Washington for? What conservative principle did you dig THIS out of? Again, Johnny old boy: you thoroughly disgust me. Maverick my ass: you’re a RINO heifer.

A call to action

28 May 2012

Time to crush the liberal snake…

A loud call to action for all Christian citizens of The United States who are of voting age…

Full text of Bishop Daniel R. Jenky’s homily at men’s march and Mass, Peoria, IL:

There is only one basic reason why Christianity exists and that is the fact that Jesus Christ truly rose from the grave.

The disciples never expected the resurrection. The unanimous testimony of all four Gospels is that the terrible death of Jesus on the cross entirely dashed all their hopes about Jesus and about his message. He was dead, and that was the end of it. They looked for nothing more, and they expected nothing more.

So as much as they had loved him, in their eyes Jesus was a failed messiah. His dying seemed to entirely rob both his teaching and even his miracles of any lasting significance.

And they were clearly terrified that his awful fate, at the hands of the Sanhedrin and the Romans, could easily become their awful fate. So they hid, trembling with terror, behind shuttered windows and locked doors.

When the Risen Christ suddenly appeared in their midst, their reaction was shocked incredulity. They simply could not believe their own eyes.

Reality only very slowly began to penetrate their consciousness when Jesus offers proof of his resurrection. He shows them the wounds on his hands, his feet, and his side. Jesus even allowed them to touch him. He breaks bread with them and eats with them. And only then could they admit to themselves what had seemed absolutely impossible – the one who had truly died had truly risen! The Crucified now stood before them as their Risen, glorious, triumphant Lord.

His rising from the grave was every bit as real as his dying on the cross. The resurrection was the manifest proof of the invincible power of Almighty God. The inescapable fact of the resurrection confirmed every word Jesus had ever spoken and every work Jesus had ever done.

The Gospel was the truth. Jesus was the Christ, the promised Messiah of Israel. Jesus was the Savior of the world. Jesus was the very Son of God.

There is no other explanation for Christianity. It should have died out and entirely disappeared when Christ died and was buried, except for the fact that Christ was truly risen, and that during the 40 days before his Ascension, he interacted with his Apostles and disciples, and on one occasion even with hundreds of his followers.

Today’s appointed Gospel reading for this Saturday in the Octave of Easter is taken from the 16th Chapter of Mark. It concludes with a command from the lips of Jesus, given to his disciples, given to the whole Church, given to you and me assembled here today: “Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.”

We heard in today’s Second Reading from the Acts of the Apostles that the same Sanhedrin that had condemned Jesus was amazed at the boldness of Peter and John. Perceiving them to be uneducated, ordinary men, they recognized them as companions of Jesus. They warned them never again to teach, or speak to anyone, in the name of Jesus.

But the elders and the scribes might as well have tried to turn back the tide, or hold back an avalanche. Peter and John had seen the Risen Christ with their own eyes. Peter and John were filled with the Holy Spirit. They asked whether it is right “in the sight of God for us to obey you rather than God. It is impossible for us not to speak about what we have seen and heard.”

And Peter and John and all the Apostles, starting first in Jerusalem in Judea and Galilee and then to the very ends of the earth, announced the Resurrection and the Good News to everyone they encountered.

According to the clear testimony of the Scriptures, these Apostles had once been rather ordinary men – like you and me. Their faith hadn’t always been strong. They made mistakes. They committed sins. They were often afraid and confused.

But meeting the Risen Lord had changed everything about these first disciples, and knowing the Risen Lord should also change everything about us.

You know, it has never been easy to be a Christian and it’s not supposed to be easy! The world, the flesh, and the devil will always love their own, and will always hate us. As Jesus once predicted, they hated me, they will certainly hate you.

But our Faith, when it is fully lived, is a fighting faith and a fearless faith. Grounded in the power of the resurrection, there is nothing in this world, and nothing in hell, that can ultimately defeat God’s one, true, holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.

For 2,000 years the enemies of Christ have certainly tried their best. But think about it. The Church survived and even flourished during centuries of terrible persecution, during the days of the Roman Empire.

The Church survived barbarian invasions. The Church survived wave after wave of Jihads. The Church survived the age of revolution. The Church survived Nazism and Communism.

And in the power of the resurrection, the Church will survive the hatred of Hollywood, the malice of the media, and the mendacious wickedness of the abortion industry.

The Church will survive the entrenched corruption and sheer incompetence of our Illinois state government, and even the calculated disdain of the President of the United States, his appointed bureaucrats in HHS, and of the current majority of the federal Senate.

May God have mercy on the souls of those politicians who pretend to be Catholic in church, but in their public lives, rather like Judas Iscariot, betray Jesus Christ by how they vote and how they willingly cooperate with intrinsic evil.

As Christians we must love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us, but as Christians we must also stand up for what we believe and always be ready to fight for the Faith. The days in which we live now require heroic Catholicism, not casual Catholicism. We can no longer be Catholics by accident, but instead be Catholics by conviction.

In our own families, in our parishes, where we live and where we work – like that very first apostolic generation – we must be bold witnesses to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We must be a fearless army of Catholic men, ready to give everything we have for the Lord, who gave everything for our salvation.

Remember that in past history other governments have tried to force Christians to huddle and hide only within the confines of their churches like the first disciples locked up in the Upper Room.

In the late 19th century, Bismarck waged his “Kulturkampf,” a Culture War, against the Roman Catholic Church, closing down every Catholic school and hospital, convent and monastery in Imperial Germany.

Clemenceau, nicknamed “the priest eater,” tried the same thing in France in the first decade of the 20th Century.

Hitler and Stalin, at their better moments, would just barely tolerate some churches remaining open, but would not tolerate any competition with the state in education, social services, and health care.

In clear violation of our First Amendment rights, Barack Obama – with his radical, pro abortion and extreme secularist agenda, now seems intent on following a similar path.

Now things have come to such a pass in America that this is a battle that we could lose, but before the awesome judgement seat of Almighty God this is not a war where any believing Catholic may remain neutral.

This fall, every practicing Catholic must vote, and must vote their Catholic consciences, or by the following fall our Catholic schools, our Catholic hospitals, our Catholic Newman Centers, all our public ministries — only excepting our church buildings – could easily be shut down. Because no Catholic institution, under any circumstance, can ever cooperate with the instrinsic evil of killing innocent human life in the womb.

No Catholic ministry – and yes, Mr. President, for Catholics our schools and hospitals are ministries – can remain faithful to the Lordship of the Risen Christ and to his glorious Gospel of Life if they are forced to pay for abortions.

Now remember what was the life-changing experience that utterly transformed those fearful and quaking disciples into fearless, heroic apostles. They encountered the Risen Christ. They reverenced his sacred wounds. They ate and drank with him.

Is that not what we do here together, this morning at this annual men’s march Mass?

This is the Saturday of the Octave of Easter, a solemnity so great and central to our Catholic faith that Easter Day is celebrated for eight full days, and the Easter season is joyously observed as the Great 50 Days of Easter. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, Christ – risen from the grave – is in our midst. His Holy Word teaches us the truth. His Sacred Body and Blood becomes our food and drink.

The Risen Christ is our Eternal Lord; the Head of his Body, the Church; our High Priest; our Teacher; our Captain in the well-fought fight.

We have nothing to fear, but we have a world to win for him. We have nothing to fear, for we have an eternal destiny in heaven. We have nothing to fear, though the earth may quake, kingdoms may rise and fall, demons may rage, but St. Michael the Archangel, and all the hosts of heaven, fight on our behalf.

No matter what happens in this passing moment, at the end of time and history, our God is God and Jesus is Lord, forever and ever.

Christus vincit! Christus regnat! Christus imperat!

Christ wins! Christ reigns! Christ commands!

Who Will Protect Us?

3 May 2012

The Armed Citizen. Our Protector.

Reading such quotes from the founding fathers as:

“No freeman shall ever be debarred the use of arms.”
Thomas Jefferson (1776)

“The advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation … forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition, more insurmountable than any which a simple government of any form can admit of.” — James Madison (1788)

“We established however some, although not all its [self-government] important principles . The constitutions of most of our States assert, that all power is inherent in the people; …that it is their right and duty to be at all times armed.”
Thomas Jefferson (1824)

How can anyone, with a straight face, assert that the intention of the 2nd amendment could be anything other than, specifically:

“…being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” — The 2nd Amendment To The Constitution of The United States.

I can’t fathom it. But, to all who would have no guns in the hands of the citizenry, I would confidently bet that you would live to regret your position in the event it ever came to pass. It is abundantly clear, in this current political climate, that all that stands between you keeping your life and possessions and those same being owned or taken away by your government is that they cannot stand long against the army which is the armed US citizenry.

I pray that you never come to realize this change of heart via those means, but, at the same time, I also pray that you come to that change of heart through  rational means…

Murdering Racists…

29 March 2012

A sad, sad commentary on racism

I was not going to comment on the current situation in Sanford, Florida. To be true, I was far too disgusted by the media’s response to it (no surprise there). I was far too disgusted with the knee-jerk attempt to immediately portray the dead youth as a victim of a heinous, racially-motivated, Republican-fueled hate crime.

As I sat being disgusted by this coverage, my mind couldn’t help going back a few years to an incident in Knoxville, TN. You recall the incident? Probably not. It received absolutely minimal coverage at the time. Let me refresh your memory:

A young couple, university students with bright futures ahead of them, went out on a date. They were carjacked, kidnapped, raped and tortured by four individuals. The torture, while alive, is beyond comprehension. They were beaten. The male was repeatedly sodomized while the female was forced to watch. The kidnappers then cut his penis off – while, again, he was alive and his girlfriend watched. They then dumped him on some railroad tracks, and set him afire. Sick bastards.

To cap their evening off, they repeatedly and variously gang-raped the female, cut her breast off, poured bleach down her throat – again, she was alive during all of this – and, finally and probably mercifully dismembered her and set her remains on fire.

Bright futures extinguished by four sick bastards who clearly do not deserve the lives within them.

Could you imagine this? Could you imagine enduring something like this? What kind of sick minds would do such an act?!

And not a peep from the press. Compare this with our current “victim” who allegedly beat the crap out of someone and got shot for his efforts – whether or not Zimmerman was justified in approaching him is not the point. This young man, according to recent accounts, broke Zimmerman’s nose and was engaged in smashing his head into the pavement when he was shot. Kind of puts the whole “who’s the victim” question into a new light, doesn’t it.

So, why no press of the former? Why no outrage from the jacksons, the sharptons, the farrakhans of the world? Why no egregious tweets from the likes of spike lee, or special investigations from the government? Because the victims were white, and the sick bastards who perpetrated this inhuman, ghastly crime were black. That’s why. At least that is the rationale of the press (www.youtube.com/watch?v=btdya9uOA8Q).
